CONVENTIONAL LEAF SPRING
EUROSPRING NEWSLETTER
A MORE EFFICIENT AND LIGHTER SUSPENSION SOLUTION
Conventional leaf springs are defined by the steel leaf profile used in their construction, featuring a constant thickness along the entire length of the leaf.
They typically have a trapezoidal shape and are composed of multiple overlapping leaves arranged in a tapered design.
We provide a complete range of conventional leaf springs and individual replacement leaves for original equipment (OEM) vehicles, as well as for suspension repair applications in the aftermarket.
We also supply all associated components and accessories for conventional leaf springs, including U-bolts, bushings (silent blocks), center bolts, shackles, links and other related parts.
Replacing a single damaged leaf is possible. However, it is essential to ensure that the remaining leaves show no signs of cracks or wear, as this may overload the new component and lead to premature failure, or even cause breakage in another leaf where wear was not visually identified.
For this reason, when a spring has high mileage and one of its leaves breaks, replacing the complete assembly is recommended, as the material may already have reached its fatigue limit.
Key benefits:
Reliable performance under the load conditions for which the spring was designed
Easy replacement and the possibility of reinforcement with additional leaves
Wide availability from permanent stock
When a load is applied to a vehicle, it is distributed through the axles and transferred to the suspension system via the springs. There are front springs installed on the vehicle’s front axle and rear springs installed on the rear axle.
Our stock range includes more than 500 conventional leaf spring references for several OEM brands, including DAF, Mercedes, Volvo, MAN, Iveco, Scania, Ford, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Isuzu and BPW, among others.
